Omo. Was I sooo late. I just saw the commercial on 5/13/09, hahaha. anyways, I’m sooo happy to see Ms. Go has another endorsement under her belt. And it’s a company that promotes healthier environment. Chukhahamnida, Ms. Go.
PS.
The cf was made in February. Waaahh, it’s been sa long time. where have I been? Hahahha.
Hugreen CF

Kumho Petrochemical is launching the Hugreen brand, which the company says will manufacture premium, environmentally friendly construction materials.
The company, an affiliate of Kumho Asiana Group, has been setting standards with eco-friendly products since 2006. With the new brand, the company is hoping to extend its “green'’ philosophy to other areas such as design, functions and material reprocessing.
The company also hired a top actress to buttress its image among women in their 30s.
Ko Hyun-jung, who became a star with the television series “Sandglass'’ in the 1980s, re-launched her career recently after more than 10 years of retirement following her marriage.
The company ad starring Ko shows a baby sleeping comfortably on the floor of an apartment, with Koh introducing the brand in front of windows.
The company says its philosophy is “Environment Goes Before Business.'’
“This means our products aim to make living environments for humans in harmony with their surroundings,'’ the company said, explaining that its brand, Hugreen, is a combination of human and green.

Well, let’s start with the sunbae first, hehe.
What’s new with Ms. Go? Well, she guested in Golden Fishery. It was hilarious, I’m sure. I watched it and although I have no idea what they were talking about, just watching their expression and how loud Ms. Go laughs made me go LOL too. I’m still waiting for the subs (who isn’t?).
Anyway, here are some stills from the program.

And here’s where you can watch it in youtube.

And here is a news article about her guesting. But don’t take notice of the Dae-mul thingy in the bottom of the article. We all know that the said drama has been scrapped. Still waiting for Queen Seon-deok!
And she also did a spread with Vogue Korea. Here are the pics from the mag. (thanks to joyan)

The article tells about some stories about her marriage, the divorce, her movie, and her first time doing a photoshoot for a magazine. She even apologized that she didn’t love her husband in the past, that she was a bit immature. Well, okay. If that’s how it was, then so be it.
And did you know that Ms. Go has her own managing company? The name is Hook Entertainment, but unfortunately, I can’t seem to find it in the net. Oh well, at least now I have the answer to my question from before. I was wondering who manages Ms. Go’s career. So it was just her all along, or maybe just after her hiatus (you know, the marriage then the divorce phase of her life).
Anyway, one of the company’s prodigy is Lee Seung Ki. He’s a talented young singer and is reported to be managed by Ms. Go herself. She even makes him tag along with her in some entertainment event. (see pics below)

Lee Seung-Ki, Go Hyun-jung and Ji Jin-Hee in the 2006 Seoul Collection fashion show, 29/4.
And why am I mentioning LSK? Well, because he has an upcoming CF with Kim Sun-ah!!! Weeee. A video has been released (unauthorized?) of LSK and KSA rehearsing a dance move for the CF. Can’t wait.
And that’s the segue for the lovely Sun-ah news.
Sun-ah has a new drama!!! Omo, omo, omo. This is sooo exciting.
The new drama is entitled “City Hall.” It’s the story of an ambitious girl who started out as a low-ranking employee but with hard work and everything else that comes along reaching your dreams, she became the mayor. And of course, if KSA is in the drama, expect a lot of comedy, sexy and dramatic scenes to be abundant. And I still can’t get over “When It’s at Night” yet.
In previous reports, it was said that Ryu Shi-Won is going to be Sun-ah’s leading man, but recent news said that he has backed out from the project. The reason stated was that he doesn’t like the plot of the drama. That’s worrisome. I hope the script is not rubbish. Anyway, the director/writer tandem has done Lover’s in Paris, which is okay for me. So I hope everything will work out just fine.
I want an actor who is gorgeous and eye-candy to match Sun-Ah’s bewitching presence, hehe. RSW doesn’t fit that description, hahaha.
And it’s also reported that Sun-ah will be working once again with the director of “My Name is Kim Samsoon,” PD Kim Yoon chul. It’s entitled “After the Wedding Banquet” and it’s going to be a collaboration of Korean and Japanese directors and writers. It’s a two-part drama and will be shown some time in April.
Wooo, exciteness!

Got these in dramabeans.
Go Hyun-jung to take on her first sageuk
November 19th, 2008 // by javabeansGo Hyun-jung (What’s Up Fox) is a kdrama veteran, but she’s about to make her sageuk debut only now in MBC’s large-scale sageuk drama Queen Seon-deok. This will mark her television return after her previous series, the cop drama HIT. Queen Seon-dok will be scripted by Kim Young-hyun (Hit, Dae Jang Geum) and Park Sang-yeon (Hit, JSA) and directed by PDs Park Hong-kyun (New Heart) and Kim Geun-hong (Yi San).
Initially, Go Hyun-jung was considered for the part of Queen Seon-deok herself, but is now cast in a different lead role. Her character, “Mi-shil,” is a beautiful court woman who manipulates men to bring herself into a position of power, who becomes one of the prominent heroines of Shilla times, along with the main character, Queen Seon-deok.
The drama will air sometime early next year and plans for 50 episodes, with the first portion of the drama to be filmed in China. With Chae Shi-ra leading another large-scale sageuk with KBS’s Empress Cheon-chu and Jung Ryeo-won taking on the role of Princess Ja-myung for SBS, will 2009 be the year of the strong female ruler? Time will tell.
Via Sports Khan
Yey! After the disappointment in Daemul, now, I have another drama to anticipate for next year. And it’s very intriguing that Ms. Go is going to take on a “provocative” role.
But I’m a bit apprehensive on MBC’s choice for the titular role. Sung Yuri is not good in acting at all. She’s just an average actress for me. I mean, if I were to choose who’s a better actress, aside from my unnies Ms. Go and Suna, I will never, ever would have thought of her. Sorry to fans, but that’s just what I think. Sure, she has a lovely face, but that too can be easily overshadowed by those actresses who have stronger personalities (even if they are not pretty). She’s like a wallflower, for me, ahwehwe. She just blends easily in the crowd, doesn’t stand out. LOLZ.
Anyway, I’m sure Ms. Go is going to eat her alive if she doesn’t behave, acting-wise. I just feel there’s no balance in the combination. But it’s a good thing that Queen Seon-dok is going to concentrate more on Mi-shil, Ms. Go’s character. Yey! Can’t wait.
And sageuk, I’m not really sure what it means. Could it be period drama? Well, I hope that this drama will push through, unlike Daemul. Hmmff.
And “You Don’t Even Know is also going to be shown early next year. Gahhh, the anticipation is getting bigger and bigger, hehe.
Ms. Go, fighting!!!

Anneong. Look who’s back! Ahehehe.
I’ve been soooo busy. (Yeah, right. Who hasn’t?) I’ve had too little time to even update my own site. Ahuhuhuhu.
Anyway, I’m back. And I really hope I can keep up with everything. I won’t be able to post everyday, but I will try. Really.
A lot of things has happened to my unnies, I don’t even know where to start. And with “unnies,” I mean Kim Sun-ah unnie and Go Hyun-jung unnie. [Unnie - big sis in Korea. But only girls call their elder sisters or older girl friends unnie. Boys call them noona.] If you don’t know them, well, go research, ahehehe. Or you can click the link of their respective names in the right side (categories). You will definitely know a thing or two or many about them.
All right. First off, my pretty, pretty Go Hyun-jung unnie.
She’s shooting a new movie. Yey! And it’s with the same director again of “Woman on the Beach.” (Honestly, I didn’t like that movie. Some said it was good, but I guess it’s just a matter of preference. I didn’t like her role, her wardrobe, her co-stars, even the director. But I like her acting, ahehehe. Biased!) I just hope I’ll like this movie when it comes out.
Here are some articles about the movie. Read on!!
HONG Sang-soo Shoots His Ninth
2008/08/13
Director HONG Sang-soo is in production on his ninth feature film, tentatively titled “You Don’t Even Know” (Jal al-ji-do mot-ha-myun-seo). The film, HONG’s second to be shot in HD following his previous feature “Night and Day”, has an ultra low budget of only US$100,000.
HONG is one of Korea’s leading auteur directors, with many of his films screening at international festivals. Several of his films have been released in France and retrospectives of HONG’s oeuvre have been organized in Toronto, San Francisco, Irvine, and Montreal, among other cities.
The new project stars HONG regulars, KIM Tae-woo (”Woman is the Future of Man”), EOM Ji-won (”Tale of Cinema”), and KO Hyeon-jeong (”Woman on the Beach”). KIM plays a film director invited to sit on the jury of the Jecheon International Music and Film Festival. There he meets an attractive programmer for the fest, played by EOM. Later he visits Jeju Island to deliver a lecture and meets the wife of one of his colleagues, played by Ko.
The film, produced by production shingle Jeonwonsa, is currently shooting in Jecheon, where the festival (a real-life event) takes place each August. The production then moves to Jeju where it will continue to shoot into September.
HA Stars in Hong Sang Soo’s You Don’t Even Know
2008/08/30
(Forgive the english, this was taken from a Korean translation site)
Ha Jung-woo filmed tentatively titled, “You Don’t Even Know” directed by Hong Sang Soo. He is starring as a sculptor, a supporting role without guarantee. Ko Hyun Jung, Um Ji Won and Kim Tae Woo are main cast and Jeong Yoo Mi, Kong Hyung Jin, and Yoo Joon Sang participated as supporting role in this movie. They all star with minimum or no guarantee. This is Hong’s ninth feature film, and is about a director (Kim) who goes on a journey.
Last year, Ha was offered to star in Night and Day (2008) directed by Hong Sang Soo, but had to give up the role for “The Chaser” filming.
This film is in post production and will be released in 2009.
Here are some pics from an interview of Ms. Go, from Cine21.
And this one is with Ha Jung-woo (her partner in H.I.T.). Nice reunion. I bet Ms. Go recommended Ha to Director Hong. Or rather, since Director Hong already offered a role to Ha before, maybe he couldn’t pass this opportunity because Ms. Go asked him to co-star. And he can’t refuse, even though he’s so busy at the moment. Sweet!
I will be eagerly waiting for this. I’m sure others too, those who appreciate Ms. Go’s acting talent and beauty.
Next!!! Sun-ah unnie. Kyaaaaaaaaaa!
The past months have been great for us KSA fans. We were able to watch her film, Girl Scout, with english subtitles and we were also able to enjoy anticipating for her latest drama, When It’s at Night (Bamimyeon Bammada) every Monday and Tuesday nights two months ago.
Watching WIAN was a blast. Monday and Tuesday nights won’t be the same again for us. We used to be problematic about those nights, whether the internet would be fast or not, whether we could see unnie’s great acting again and her witty comedic skills, whether the story will flow just the way we wanted or predicted it, whether there would be kissing scenes, or better yet, love scenes. Ahahaha. Anticipating is so much fun when you can share it with other fans. We don’t understand Korean, but we still watched the drama, just because Sunny was there. Watching it raw is a new experience. At least we can concentrate on unnie’s acting and her facial expressions. But watching it (again and again) with subtitles is also wonderful. And after an episode ended, fans would throng to forums and talk about it until the early hours of the morning. And will still continue to visit their fave forums the following days until another episode would be aired. That was fun, hehe.
I will be posting things about WIAN in the future. But what I am concerned about now is Me.Rain.Dance, which will be broadcasted tonight. Yes, tonight, 10:50 Korean time in MBC. Waaah, I won’t be able to watch it. Hopefully some good hearted people will upload it so we poor souls can download it at a later time (later means an hour or so after the broadcast, hahaha).
A lot of write-ups have been circulatig about Rain (Bi) and Sunny’s hot tango dance number (Yes!). Sunny danced, Sunny danced, Sunny danced. Ahehehe.
Most fans were surprised that she had that tango number with Bi because she hasn’t showcased that part of her talent many times. I remember that on one of her first CF (commercial film), she did dance tango a bit. Then in one of her old dramas, she also danced onstage. Oh, there was also the song and dance number with her co-star in Great Expectations, but it was expected, since they sang a fast song.
It’s worthy to admire Sunny. She’s one of those really talented actors and most of her co-stars, even directors and staff testified that she’s really a sincere person. No pretentions. And they say she appreciates everyone’s input, whether it be small or big from her co-workers. And she shows her appreciation by giving them gifts, personalized gifts, not just items randomly picked from some store.
Aigoo, I can’t wait. And I admire MBC for teasing the viewers so much. They released only a few photos (below) from Sunny and Bi’s practice and only two pics from the said dance number. And, and only a 20-second teaser preview of the show. Aigoo. Tricky, very tricky. And MBC made us very excited, hahaha.
Here are those pics. How could Sunny get so sexy like that? She’s so hot and pretty, ahehehe.

Actress Ko to Return as President in New Drama
By Chung Ah-young
Staff ReporterActress Ko Hyun-jung will return playing the role of a female president in a new drama to be aired on SBS in July.
Ko will take the leading role of Seo Hye-lim in “Daemul'’ (Queen-maker), a drama based on the comic book of the same name by Park In-gwon.
The drama revolves around a female prosecutor who fights against social injustice and tenders her resignation after arresting a mogul who masterminds organized crime in political circles. Then, after working as a lawyer who advocates human rights, she earns a reputation as caring for people, she then runs for, and is elected, president.
An official of the drama production company said that the drama will focus on the making of a female president. The script writer says, “Daemul means the ‘great person’ in the drama,” he said.
The drama will also co-star Kwon Sang-woo, who will take the role of Ko’s counterpart.
The soap opera consisting of 20-24 episodes is expected to cost 10 billion won to produce.
The production team has already shot the scenes for the presidential inauguration ceremony on Feb. 25 when President Lee Myung-bak was inaugurated. The production team will go on a location in Japan in April.
A former 1989 Miss Korea runner-up, Ko made a successful comeback to the entertainment industry with the 2005 TV series “Bomnal'’ (Spring Day) after her divorce. She starred in “Yeouya Mohani'’ (Hello Fox),'’ a mini-series in 2006. (The writer forgot to mention the most recent, H.I.T.)
She enjoyed stardom after starring in the 1995 TV series “Moraesigye” (Hourglass). She announced her retirement that year upon marrying Chung Yong-jin, a nephew of Samsung chairman Lee Kun-hee and vice president of Shinsegae Department Store. The marriage ended in 2003. Ko also acted in the film, “Woman on the Beach'’ in 2006.

Female presidents, bodyguards… ‘Women Power’
It seems that the new keyword for 2008 will become ‘women power’.
Female stars who received popularity for effeminate roles are now trying new characters, such as famous politicians, female bodyguards, and female detectives.
Ko Hyeon-jeong will be acting as Korea’s first female president in her next drama, SBS “Big Things”, set to air in May 2008. {delayed to July-August}
Ko Hyeon-jeong’s role of Seo Hye-rim is a passionate lawyer. She quits after taking responsibility for the arrest a political gang’s leader, and becomes famous as a civil rights lawyer. She runs for office and is elected as a female president.
Ko Hyeon-jeong also acted as the first female chief of a police squad in the MBC drama “Hit”. She is receiving roles that differ from her past image, and that are many “firsts” in the drama industry.
Also, Chae Rim will be coming back to television as a female bodyguard.
The KBS drama “Powerful Opponents” will air April 14, and her character Cha Young-jin is an unstoppable, aggressive bodyguard.
“Powerful Opponents” will portray the lives of the people in the Blue House and incorporate a love triangle with the President’s (Lee Deok-hwa) son (Lee Jin-wook) and another bodyguard (Lee Jong-hyuk).
Bae Jong-ok is already acting as a detective in MBC drama “Park Jung Gum”. It is her first time in an action role in her 21 years of acting, and her character is a 38-year-old, high school graduate.
A critic of popular culture, Kang Myeong-seok judged, “Actresses are breaking the conception that they must only act in romances. The circumstances have also changed. Roles are no longer limited to old women roles but are aiming at the working woman”.

Wahahaha. I’m shoooo happy when I learned about this bit of news. Ms. Go in a new drama. Wow! Good news after a long drought.
I’ve been waiting, since last year, end of May to be exact, for news about Ms. Go’s whereabouts, her new projects, news stories, even a scandal would do.
But to no avail. I was wondering where she was, what she’s been doing. Then come November. LG Dios (fyi, Ms. Go endorses this uber sosyal ref) released a new CF (commercial film, that’s how they call commercial advertisment in Korea) of Ms. Go. Whoa, I was stunned. She looked different than Cha Soo-kyung (the lady detective she played in H.I.T. last year). She seemed to have lost a lot of pounds. She looked sooooooo slim.
Here’s a pic of hers H.I.T. time.

Dios pic? To follow, hehehe.
Then after that, nothing about Ms. Go again. December, January, February. Nothing.
Until this! Unnie is going to do a drama with Kwon Sang-woo. Yey. (And if you don’t know who Kwon Sang-woo, he’s Cholo in Stairway to Heaven and Jeric in Sad Love Song).
Can’t wait. Ms. Go, a tough and feisty lawyer turned lady president. Great.
And now, on with the waiting again. Hmmff. At least I now have something to look forward to.

And who would say this isn’t cute? Oooh, I can’t resist. Wanna hug it, hug it, hug it.

La Lang. I went to EDSA Timog on Sunday afternoon for the sole purpose of getting a couple of pictures of the Foxy Lady billboard. Bwahahaha, what a racket! Adik na talaga!
I used to go to GMA studios to see SOP live. Not anymore. LOLZ. There’s nothing there worth seeing, except Foxy Lady, hihihi.
Anyway, for the most part, it was a successful journey (except for the fact that I looked like a lunatic taking pictures of a humongous wall).
In truth, it was kinda embarrassing, hehe, but what the heck. I’m at least happy that I’ve done it and I’m over with it. Aja!!
Here’re are the pics. Just two. I don’t want the passersby to point fingers at me so I scrammed as soon as the second shot was taken.
Oh, and this is GMA’s promopic for Foxy Lady. I took the screencap from my chinggu’s uploaded Foxy Lady teaser. Thanks Alodia-chinggu.

Oops, I’m not done yet with feektyur fosting of my unnie’s peys. She’s so pretty, I just can’t help but admire her every time I see her oh so lovely features.
The following pictures are from Go Hyun Jung unnie’s latest Dios commercial. Pretty face, pretty legs, pretty ref.
And this is her pic that I love the most. Who’d say she’s already in her 30’s? She definitely looks in her early 20’s to me.

Pretty pretty no?

Official Website: Foxy Lady
Synopsis:
The story is about a not-so-bright older girl who dreams of a “fantasy love” and her relationship with her friend’s brother who is nine years younger than her. The drama stars Ko Hyun-jung and Chun Jung-myung as the odd couple with such a huge age gap. Ko Hyun-jung stars as Ko Byung-hee, a girl with the heart of a 24-year-old who is actually 33 and working as a reporter in a third-rate magazine company. She frequently finds it hard to cope with the blandness of her life. What she dreams of is working for a company that she can be proud of and finding a man who can provide warm support when she needs it. In addition, she wants to go on a world tour in a camping car with her new love. Suddenly, she gets into an accident with her friend Seung-hye’s brother, Chul-su (Seung-hye and Chul-su are played by Ahn Sun-young and Chun Jung-myung, respectively). Chun Jung-myung stars as Park Chul-su, a 24-year-old male working as a mechanic at a car repair shop. Chun makes his first appearance on an MBC drama with this show. Although Chul-su does not have much in life, he is filled with ambition and enjoys life by doing the things he loves: working as a mechanic and traveling. How many people actually find the love they dream of? Until they realize that true love is just around the corner, this couple continues to pursue this unique romantic relationship of “dating a friend’s brother” and “dating my sister’s friend”. “Foxy Lady” is written by Kim Do-woo who also penned the wildly popular “My Lovely Sam-soon”. Producer Kwon Suk-jang, who has created such fun-loving dramas for women such as “Lady Next Door” and “Marry Me” is in charge of the production.
My Take:
When I first watched an episode of Foxy Lady (actually, my first serving was episode 4), and even though it was raw (meaning the spoken language is foreign and there are no subtitles), I could honestly say that it was highly commendable/recommendable because I definitely enjoyed it. I looked idiotic, I think, when I laughed out loud once and my unnie saw me when I was watching Foxy Lady. I wasn’t able to understand what they were talking about but I was hitting the floor with laughter saying, “What a show !”
The female and male leads were excellent and pretty to look at. Their facial expressions were enough to showcase their talent in conveying what the character wants to tell the audience. Also, my little knowledge of the Korean language helped a lot. And because the lead actor and actress were too cute/pretty to be true, I made some research to learn more on the net. So, for more information, I dug hard, real hard (because most sites dedicated for the drama were all in Korean) just to find facts and figures. Good thing I already knew the title (What’s Up Fox/Foxy Lady) but I still didn’t know who the lead stars were. Thanks to my broadband, I was able to gather information and even found sites where I can download the episodes and their respective subtitles (thanks to soompi, d-addicts, withs2 and naynay123’s clubbox). So I had a marathon. And it was truly worth it.
Each and every episode made me laugh and cry at the same time. There was an over-abundance of wacky scenes, times where you can relate to the funny moments because the main character is as ordinary as anyone can be. But this k-drama is not all about comedy. It also contained serious tones of life. The fears, the heartaches, the journey of love.
At first, I loved this drama because of the fact that it was written by Kim Do Woo, who wrote my favorite kdrama of all time, My Name is Kim Samsoon. There was some scenes reminiscent to MNIKSS but those were minimal. I only noticed the similarities because I’m a certified MNIKSS adik and I could swear that I know it by heart. LOLZ. So I distinguished almost immediately the teeny-weeny instances where I felt like watching MNIKSS again, through Foxy Lady.
All right, let me enumerate some:
1. The venue where Byeong Hee’s house stood (I think it’s Samsoon’s neighborhood. It would have been fun if they knew each other, meaning Samsoon and Byeong Hee);
2. Byeong Hee being clumsy and loud;
3. Family troika [omma (mom), unnie (older sister) and dong seng (younger daughter)];
4. May-December affair (well in the case of Samsoon and Samshik, it was just a 3-year gap. But the girl was still older);
5. The drunken scene. LOLZ (Complete with the barfing and sleeping somewhere not the girl’s house, and both on Episode 2);
6. Characters associated with stuffed animals (Byeong Hee to a yellow fox, Samsoon to a pinky pig);
7. Catchy OST. (Woooh, I lurv the love theme of Foxy Lady);
8. The karaoke scene, both in Epi 14. (But Samsoon’s was totally hilarious).
Those were some that I could remember at this time. But I’m sure there were more. But it was not a big deal. Just a passing thought, hehe.
But the real reason why I finished the drama in just 2 nights (marathon to the max! musta naman eyebags, harhar) is Go Hyun Jung. My new-found adopted unnie (wish). She’s so pretty. I lurv looking at her smile. I lurv seeing her face in a close-up shot. I lurv it when she distorts her face yet she still manages to look good and cute. And when she absorbs herself in a dramatic scene, she really is mesmerizing. Pretty unnie, fighting!
And just like what I did with Kim Sun Ah (Samsoon), I researched Hyun Jung unnie’s background and just like Sun Ah, I got inspired with Hyun Jung.
Her past was glamourous but profoundly sad. And she’s still struggling til this very moment. I felt so sad, still feels so sad about her marriage. Napunjashikka. That’s for her ex-husband and his rude family. So sad.
Now I don’t want to buy Samsung products. (LOZ apekted?) Her ex is an heir to the vast Samsung/Shinsegae companies and being chaebols (uber rich), they shunned unnie as if she’s just a commoner. The nerves! She is like a princess. Duh!
Anyway, Foxy Lady is a good watch, I tell you. You will not be disappointed. It’s something you would want to watch over and over again. And even recommending it to friends and family is understandable. Try and watch and you’ll find out what I’m saying. And what I’m saying is true, hehehe.
And if time permits, and if I still feel inspired, I might also do a Filipino transcript for this. Yah Eimich!! Finish the last two episodes of MNIKSs already! LOLZ!
Miss Go, fighting!!!
