Anneong haseyo!  Happy New Year (lolz, super late).  Oh, alright, Happy Chinese New Year! Hahahaha.

A new year brings in a new kaadikan for me.  I’m not saying I’m over Regine Velasquez (never yata to mangyayari, hehe, pero lie low muna akech) but as of the moment, the apple of my eyes is a korean actress.  Yes!  After three years, I now succumb to the Hallyu (Korean Wave).  I was indifferent before.  I was thinking, eew, what’s with these people going gaga over those Koreanovelas?  But what do you know?  I got struck!  And now I can attest that it’s really contagious.  I thought I will never join the bandwagon.  I thought those chinky eyed Koreans will never affect my system.  I thought I will not spend a single dime or time to any of them.  I thought, I thought…….. But now, I’m taking it all back, hahahaha.  I’m eating my own promise.  I have the Hallyu fever!  And I won’t be cured for the time being, hehehe.Okay, okay.  How did it start? Once upon a time….. Lolz.  When Hallyu started in the Philippines, I ignored it completely.  When everyone was getting upset because Jenny (Song Hye Kyo of Endless Love 1) was being maltreated by some girl, I was totally unaffected.  When Janice (Choi Ji Woo of Endless Love 2) met Jun (Bae Yong Joon) after 10 years and everyone were so kilig, I was smirking at them coz they looked jologs.  When Jessie and Justin (SHG and Rain/Bi of Full House) were making everyone laugh and cry, I was indulging myself with HongKong movies and celebrities.  But when a Regine fan and friend lent me the series that I, to be honest, reluctantly watched (at first), I got totally hooked.  In two weeks, I watched the 16 episode (approx 16 hours)drama 3 times.  My eyes hurt, but hey, I’d still do it again, if time permits.  I had a week long vacation kasi so I had the time of my life then.  And that’s not the end of it.  I gave it back to my friend hoping that I will focus my attention on some other important matters, but the lead actress in that drama was already enjoying a big space in my heart, lolz.  So I asked my friend to buy me her movies.  I told her, as long as there are english subtitles, buy it.  It doesn’t matter if the story sucked, buy it.  And she did.  I paid for five dvds and enjoyed three of them.  I love She’s On Duty (she’s a cop under cover as a high school student), S Diary (she’s a broken-hearted lady who asks why her past relationships never ended in matrimony) and Wet Dreams (she’s the element of fantasy of high school boys).  Happy Ero Christmas was a waste and the Yesterday dvd that I got did not have the right movie in the disc.  And I can’t return or exchange it.  Crap!!  I’m still 2 movies short.  Greatest Expectations and Yesterday (crap!).The title of the drama series (actually it is a romantic comedy) is My Name is Kim Samsoon/My Lovely Samsoon/Nae Ireneum Kim Samsoon.  Check this out for the synopsis and some side remarks of moi.  It has a great plot.  The story touches much on reality.  No baddies involved, you know, the cruel stepmother/stepsisters/other girl, etc.  And it’s really funny.  My sister even called me crazy once coz I laughed out loud one time. out of the blue, because I remembered a scene from the series.  It is definitely hilarious.  It also is full of heart.  Anyone can really relate to the story.  Oh, I can go on and on about the drama coz I really am addicted.  I even think I can’t watch an other drama series without comparing it to MNIKSS, except Jewel in the Palace, hihihi.  But that’s another case.  I like JITP but I can skip episodes of it without feeling any regret. And I borrowed the MNIKSS drama again, hahahaha.  I’m going to watch it every night, again.  Adik!!!Why is she my new kaadikan?  Because I really love her drama, I love her three movies and I really respect, like and admire her.  She’s dedicated to her craft.  Imagine, she agreed to put on 6 to 7 kilograms to her weight just to be a more believable heroine in MNIKSS?  And to think she’s a very sultry and sexy actress.  She’s also very involved in the projects she takes in.  She doesn’t just receive instructions and then act, she also shares her ideas and her inputs are intelligent.  She’s also very talented.  She dances well, sings well and plays the piano superbly.  And I like the way she makes her private life private.  As in!  She’s mum when it comes to personal things.  Oh, did I mention she’s funny.  That’s also what enamored me to her.Her name?  Kim Sun Ah.  Her pics are below.Before Kim Samsoon
