Bwiset.
Ang daming funny moments nung scene after the forced iloveyou from Cyrus.
Ano daw yung first sentence?
Parang batang lalaki.
Pati yung drama scene ni Samsoon at papa niya, may cut! Jusko naman! Sobrang chopchop yun.
About her dreams.
Here’s the english subs….
“That night the grandmother of the mountain blessed us with our marriage and our kids. Mountain, Ground, Ocean. Those are the names of our children. Oh no, that’s just my dream. This is my dream too. (A successful bakeshop) But what I wanted to come true hasn’t come true. No matter what, I have made one dream come true. That is to play the piano for him. That night the grandmother of the mountain did not display her magic. Mother was still against our marriage. But we still love each other. We still bicker/quarrel at times but we always make up afterwards. We laugh and cry, during our time together. Since our meeting was coincidental I sometimes think, we may break up one day. Being in love is like this. But there is nothing to be afraid of. I now understand the things that I have to do. That is to work hard in making my cakes, keep on loving. Just like everyday is a doomsday. Just like we’ve never been hurt before. Just like the love I have for me : Kim Sam Soon.”
Di ba ang ganda? Minurder ng GMA.
I am really disappointed with GMA. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Nakakahiya. The other Filipinos in those foreign KSS threads are so sure that GMA will definitely murder the drama. I reasoned out to them as gently as possible na GMA won’t do those things they mentioned like cutting off vital scenes, improper translations, bad dubbing (this is so true, maraming beses na hindi tumutugma yung dami ng korean syllables sa Filipino syllables. Nakakadismaya), etc. And guess what? They’re soooooo right. Aish!!
Kainis talaga GMA. This is the first time I’m really pissed off with them. I just can’t accept the fact that they literally butchered the ending. Tuloy, parang super happy ‘yung ending. Which is just partly true, in fairness. It is a happy ending pero it was left hanging. As in open-ended. Samsoon and Cyrus still had to work hard to overcome the problems the they’ll meet in the future for thier relationship to prosper. Walang kasiguruhan. Na na magpakasal sila, so they still had to struggle. They “MAY” end up together or they “MAY NOT”. The ending is one of the most realistic I’ve ever seen. Pero ibang iba ang pinakita ng GMA, na parang Cyrus and Samsoon ended up together with flying colors pa. Parang fairytale tuloy ang kinalabasan.
Ayyy! Shucks, ang dami ko tuloy na litany.
I just hope mataas pa rin ang rating kahit disappointing ang ginawa nila sa ending.
Naiinis rin kasi ako para dun mga first time watchers. I feel like they’ve been robbed. Parang tinanggalan nila ng “soul” yung ending. Aigoo!!
At isa pa, ni walang proper ending. Di man lang sinabi o kaya nilagyan ng “THE END”. The main stars just kissed tapos patalastas na agad.
Encantadia’s parting shot was superbly done, with clips of the farewell party of the cast and crew of the telefantasya. And it even went luxuriously overtime. Samantalng sobrang gahol sa oras yung KSS. It’s so unfair.
Haay, this is the only drama that really converted me into a Sun-aholic and I’m totally enjoying my being addicted to her. But it’s now different with my fave station. My faith towards GMA just dipped down to a lower level. It’s such a shame that the network that many of us soooo supported puts their fans down. I guess it might have been better if the other network handled MNIKSS. At least they know how to treat with total respect the hand that feeds them. GMA has milked MNIKSS for all it’s worth (the commercial load far exceeds the timeframe than the drama itself). And just because it’s the last night of airing, do they have to totally abandon it? It’s such a shame.
I’m really so dissapointed.

ONE OF THE BEST POEMS OF 2005 WRITTEN by an african kid
Dear white fellah,
There’s a coupla tings you orta no.
Firstly
Wen I am born, I’m black.
Wen I grow up, I’m black.
Wen I get sick, I’m black.
Wen I’m cold, I’m black.
Wen I go out in the sun, I’m black.
And wen I get scared, I’m black.
And wen I die, yes, I’m still black.
But you white fellah ….
Wen you born, you pink.
Wen you grow up, you white.
Wen you get sick, you green
Wen you cold, you go blue.
Wen you go out in the sun, you go red.
And wen you get scared, you yellah.
And wen you die, you purple
And you call me coloured?
He’s got a point, hahaha.

Regine pays her dues to the industry
ISN’T Regine Velasquez threatened by the discovery of new talents in “Pinoy Pop Superstar.” “No as I was discovered from such a show myself,” she says. “If I were threatened, ‘di hindi na lang ako pumayag mag-host ng show. Also, it’s my way of paying back the more senior singers who then also helped me when I was starting my career.”
She’s very proud of the new batch of seven contenders that will compete in the finals this May 8 at the Araneta Coliseum. “It’s a good crop,” she adds. “All very talented.” -snip
Regine Velasquez charters flight to Boracay for entire clan
By JOJO PANALIGAN
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez will be celebrating her birthday next week by chartering an airplane en route to Boracay that will accommodate her entire clan numbering near 30 members.
“This is the first time I’ll be going on vacation during my birthday so I want my entire family to be there from immediate down to my nephews and nieces,” she says during an interview. “I can’t remember a time that I wasn’t working on my birthday since I entered showbiz so this will be something special to me. It’s also a special treat to my parents who are yet to set foot in Boracay. Can you believe that?”
Regine says that her family has always offered to throw her a party on her special day when she’s here in Manila but that she has refused this each time.
“I’m not very good at entertaining people. When I was younger, my mom would spring parties for me that I never quite enjoyed because I would always make excuses to leave my invited guests. Madalas ang palusot ko, ‘Punta lang po ako ng banyo,’ then aakyat na ako ng banyo para matulog in periods of thirty minutes,” says she.
The vacation, Asia’s Songbird says, is her way of recharging as she looks forward to an ultra busy 2006 second quarter schedule. Apart from taking her “Fantaconcierto” concert with Ogie Alcasid, Ai Ai de las Alas and Rico J Puno to the U.S., she is also posed to finally start working on two movies one of which will pair her with actor Piolo Pascual.
Then, of course, there’s the “Pinoy Pop Superstar” (PPS) Grand Showdown on May 6 at the Araneta Coliseum which the diva has been hosting for three years now.
“I’m excited to see the outcome of this year’s competition because of the odd ratio of male contestants out numbering females,” says she. “Though this is no forecast and I’m not being biased, the statistics point to a male grand champion. Iisa lang ang babae na napili ng mga judges from Manila kasi yung dalawa pang babae na finalists are from North America and Canada. Pag nagkataon, this is another first for me kasi lahat ng nakita kong nanalo in the past—-Sarah Geronimo, Rachelle Ann Go and Jonalyn Viray——are females.”
-snip
What advice does Regine give to ‘PPS’ finalists?
“To try not to be nervous onstage even when everyone knows it’s a contest. Nerbyos kasi ang isa sa pinakamalaking deterrent sa singer para hindi makakanta ng ayos. I tell them to think of it like giving the last performance of their lives,” says she.
When asked how she avoids getting tired of hosting a show that’s been on air for three years now, Regine waxes nostalgia.
“Since I am a product of singing contests myself, I see in each of them a part of me. I see the determination to win, the heartbreak of not winning even when you have given your best and the growing confidence whenever you pass a round,” says Regine.
She ends: “And maybe that’s why GMA thinks I am an effective host of the show. Kumbaga, been there-done that na ito sa akin. Now I know it’s my turn to help prepare the ground for the next singing champion—-kasi nga there can only be one Pinoy Pop Superstar!”
Tsalap naman. Boracay for the whole family. Kaya pala wala ka sa SOP eh!!! Hmp.

BIR has lowered the morale of show biz people - Regine
By JOJO PANALIGAN
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez says that the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) may be raising public awareness about tax obligations by going after celebrities but at the cost of lowering the morale of actors and singers.
“Can’t you feel it? The industry is in an even bigger slump since last year when this issue came to fore with those affected choosing to do more shows abroad or going into depression just like I did,” says Regine.
The Songbird, who openly spoke of the issue for the first time, says that she had literally cried everyday when the BIR came after her.
“I would be on the phone talking to friends about other things when I would suddenly break down, crying. Nalugas ang buhok ko kaka-isip kung makukulong nga ako or hindi—a very scary thought—even when I knew in my heart that I wasn’t guilty,” says she.
What Regine admits to is “not being keen on details” when it comes to finances; a lesson she definitely has learned from the experience.
“Sa totoo lang kasi, what do I know about taxes? Nothing. All I know is to sing and perform. Meantime, I have people who take care of the financial aspect of my livelihood. I’m not saying these people are not doing the job, pero paano nga kung may nakalimutang resibo? And to think that when the issue broke out, I was not even in the Philippines but abroad on a tour. From this time on, I will always double check on my finances para di na ito maulit.”
Regine is willing to become “an example” for others, though, if it means helping the government collect money due them. “Aminin natin na meron ding mga unfair people who really would do everything para makalusot sa pagbayad ng taxes. If being the ‘sacrifical lamb’ means instilling fear in these people to spurn them to do the right thing, then so be it. I know the government needs all the help they can get dahil nga lubog tayo sa utang.”
When asked if she ever contemplated on living permanently abroad where living a more peaceful life seems likely, Regine turns even more serious.
“Inisip ko na din yan although it’s something I will never do. Even when I’m in my favorite places like Paris and Venice, four days pa lang ako duon ay na-hohomesick na ako. How could I even imagine living there when their food is no match to ours? At saka dito, may patis! (laughs).”
She adds: “Besides, ang Pilipino, marunong i-enjoy ang buhay kasi we’ve learned how to become resilient. Basta’t andyan yung network of family and friends niya to support him, any Filipino will get by. If some people think that life, say, in the U.S., is better, why do you think six out of ten Americans go to psychiatrists? O bakit ang taas ng suicidal rate duon? Things are not always what they seem.”
This love for her country and her people’s laidback lifestyle is what convinced Regine to become the endorser of’WOW! Magic Sing that features 100% scenic Philippine tourism spots and cultural events like fiestas as backdrop to the lyrics guide that appear onscreen.
“Even though I already sing for a living, I still enjoy ‘karaoke nights’ with friends. Yun nga lang, I don’t sing my songs during these occasions kasi nakakasawa na. Ang madalas kong kantahin ay mga piyesa nila Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Ella Mae Saison’s. Minsan din I choose songs na walang birit. Pahinga naman,” she ends.
Oh well. Ganda ng segue. LOLZ. BIR to Tourism. Endorsement lang pala ng mikroponong pagkamahal-mahal.

Happy birthday to my eldest sis.
*Looks for her picture in my wallet. None. In my special notebooks. None. In my computer files. None.*
Alam ko na! Nasa bahay pala (ancestral? hahaha). I’ll look for it in the weekend and paste her peys here, hahaha. (It’s a good thing she doens’t like anything connected to computers, hihihi)
Seriously, we miss her. It’s been sooooooo long since we last saw her. Mga 8 years na?
Her name? Initials na lang, hahaha. ELCS.
