I’m so happy, and so sad.  Coz the write-up that has been rotating all over Korean magazines say that my unnie has broken-up with her boyfriend.

I maybe a SunBin (Kim Sun-ah and Hyun Bin tandem) fan but I do not wish for unnie and her boyfriend to break-up just to make way for my or the fans wishes.  Anyway, it’s just a figment of our imaginations and we’re truly aware that her personal life is not connected much with that loveteam.

And it also sucks that she had to part with him in order to be with Bin, or so the rumors say.  In real life, it’s hateful to be in that scenario. 

Just like Samsoon, I hate guys or girls who get involved in another relationship when they already have an existing one.  It makes me lose faith and respect in the philandering person for hurting their partner.  They should have the guts to at least end the current relationship first before jumping to another one.  And I also want to quote Samsoon, coz I feel the same way that she does;

The most hated person in this world happens to be a guy who cheats.  The most hated and detesting item also happens to be a guy who cheats.  The most inhumane thing that I would like to shoot to death, coincidentally also happens to be a guy who cheats. - MNIKSS English Sub

Well, enough of this, being emotional.  It’s a good thing though that the rumors were set straight by Sun-ah’s management.  And here’s their press release, translated by sapphiregurl of SunBin Forever;

Regarding the rumour about the breakup with her boyfriend, Kim Suna stated, “we are still in a stable relationship.”

Kim Suna’s management company SidusHQ commented the recent article in the August issue of a women’s magazine as ridiculous and untrue.

The mentioned magazine used the headline, “Sam Soon Kim Suna broke up with her businessman boyfriend.”, quoting close friends of Suna saying, “The couple ended their relationship through an agreement recently. He did not like all the publicity after the fact that he was her boyfriend was exposed. It made both of them felt pressured, which was why they broke up.”

But Kim Suna’s management company stated that “they are still in a stable and happy relationship”, “arguments between lovers are very common. Publishing an article without actual proof is a ridiculous act.”

Kim Suna announced that she has a boyfriend last year, during the production meeting of MBC’s drama series “My Name Is Kim Sam Soon”. The relationship has since captured our attention.

Waaaaaaaaaaah!  The price is tooo much!  It’s too expensive for the average Filipino fan of Regine.  Like me! 

Eversince I became a fanatic, (hmmm, around 2000, just after R2K) I’ve made it a point to watch Regine’s major concerts and buy VIP tickets for me to enjoy the show better.  And I’ve been enjoying, thank you!  But this time around, I’m not sure if I can still go on with my tradition.    Life is tough nowadays, well, with me, anyway.  and I’m sure everybody will agree with me.  And a show ticket worth Php5,600, tax not yet included, is a little luxurious.  This time, I might settle for the lowerbox. Crap!

But Regine’s camp may argue that this concert will be the best ever.  It’s her 20th anniversary in showbusiness and the concert will surely deliver a fantastic line-up of songs, superb musicians, awesome guests, etc, not to forget the main act, the goddess herself.  I’m so sure of that.  Really!  But I still feel reluctant to let go of that amount of money.  I might be forced to buy the VIP ticket but I’ll definitely regret that I did it, regardless if I enjoy or not.  Oh, dilemma.

Aria, can you lower down the amount a little, please? Pretty please?

We were not surprised when we heard from a source close to the couple just recently that popular singers Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez have decided to formalize their musical partnership, after all.

If our source’s information is accurate, the two singers are now the proud owners of a very new record label called Indie Records. The source said it is just right to presume that Ogie and Regine, who are in fact free from any recording contract at this point in their respective careers, will be the first two recording artists of their very own label.

Regine and Ogie have come out fresh from their Viva Records deals. The source, however added that the two are most excited about working on the album of Indie Records’ very first signed recording artist, no other than actor Dennis Trillo.

Unknown to many, Dennis is very musical as he belongs to a band and can play the guitar quite well. The source said Ogie will be producing Dennis’ debut album under Indie. It was also revealed to us that what Ogie plans to accomplish with Dennis is what Star Records actually accomplished in Piolo Pascual. It will be remembered that Ogie also produced one of Piolo’s album for Star Records.

The source also said that originally, the label was to be called Ogie and Regine Records but was rejected for some reason. That is why they had to change it to Indie Records.

Hey, didn’t christened this project of songbird and songwriter their “baby”? 

And the orig name of the label would have been Ogie and Regine Records?  That would be hilarious.  Too creative for words.  But I’m sure Regine and Ogie didn’t come up with that name.  I guess Ms. Pizarro’s source is not accurate in all his/her reports after all.

Katulad ng dati, karenyoso pa rin si Robin sa kanyang leading lady. Wala namang angal si Regine sa magandang trato sa kanya ni Robin dahil sanay na ito sa aktor. Ang maganda sa kanilang tambalan, kahit sobrang sweet nila, walang intriga. Talagang trabaho lang ang kanilang ginagawa.

Loved Samsoon’s imaginations here.    The one with Cyrus is sooo kilig and the other with Henry is so funny.  And even when she was totally inlove with Cyrus, she was still harboring thoughts of her and Henry together.    Pwede!

These are the pics of KSA and HB having fun on the NG scenes of the piano seduction scene. 

The end of the episode is a tad lonely.  Although Cyrus has expressed his feelings towards Samsoon, Samsoon is still uncertain of their future.  Should she trust Cyrus and accept him and date with him?  Will Cyrus have the nerve to break up with Hanna?  They have tons of special memories together, will he let them go in favor of Samsoon, whom he is starting to share unforgettable memories with too?

Addendum….

Maternity leave

Jaya, last Sunday, was given an on-the-air baby shower by his friends (fellow workers) on the noontime show SOP. I am happy for this girl who will finally be a mother herself. And I am also glad that she’s going to be away from SOP for perhaps a couple of Sundays (I hope more!) as I would be spared from her terribly out-of-tune singing.

Jaya is one problematic singer, but producers at the GMA show don’t actually know that. Even a trained musician like Danny Tan seems to ignore her problems, so does Regine Velasquez, who is a real good friend of Jaya.

I just hope that in the two weeks that she’s out of the show, she’d find time to get a vocal coach to fix that “little problem of hers.” She’s lucky she’s still got work on GMA-7. With younger singers coming into the biz every day, she might just find herself among the displaced singers nowadays.

To be honest, I’ve noticed Jaya’s mishits in high notes.  Ever since she became one of the main hosts of SOP, it’s been evident.  But she gets away with it by lowering her voice then make her trademark kulot-kulot. 

I have this mp3 of hers and Regine, We Belong Together, and it was painful to listen to it.  Regine’s part was okay, not her best though, but Jaya’s, I couldn’t help cringing.  It was bad, really.

But this is not all flak.  I like Jaya, really, coz she’s truly nice to Regine.  As in she really respects and adores Regine.  And she’s now in a delicate situation.  That’s why I also want to say good luck to her, her husband and her baby Sabriya.  Anyway, Isah Red is known to write articles that borders from exaggeration to ridiculous.  But sometimes she writes truthfully.

When I saw Regine and Robin’s pictorial for ‘Til I Met You via Startalk, I knew it instantly that their team-up is again the one to beat.  They ooze with chemistry.  They really look soo inlove, even though their not.  And they look good together.  Just look at these pictures shared by graciev and judge for yourself.

But I won’t be able to watch Pinoy Pop Superstar.  That I do regret much.  I wanna see Janno’s funny gimmicks on how he tries to move and talk and sing ala Regine. Tsk!

YLAYA ALFONSO, CAVITE — “The best thing about making this movie is, I get to kiss Regine (Velasquez),” said Robin Padilla on the set of “Till I Met You.”

“I also get to ride a horse,” Robin said. “It’s one of my greatest highs right now.” The set was located on a sprawling ranch here, owned by horse enthusiast and businessman Chito Panganiban.

Whether he was romancing Regine for the photo ops or flirting with the fans, Robin turned on the charm, lighting up a gloomy day last week — a stretch of cool winds and scattered rain showers — like the effervescent and restless star that he was.

“It’s good to be working again,” he said. “I’ve missed acting.”

Last seen in the quirky comedy “La Visa Loca,” Robin has not had a movie project for nearly a year.

“Till I Met You, ”a movie co-produced by GMA Films and Viva Entertainment and directed by Mark Reyes, marks Robin’s re-coupling with Regine after their 2000 hit, “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw,” directed by Joyce Bernal.

‘I Luv NY’ titigbakin sa ere?

PUMAPALAKPAK ngayon ang mga tenga ng stars ng I Luv NY dahil namamayagpag pa rin ang programa sa rating. Talo pa rin sa rating  ng ILNY ang mga kalabang programa nito tulad ng Sa Piling Mo at My Girl ng Dos.

Kaya naman inspired mag-taping ang cast na sina Jolina Magdangal, Marvin Agustin, Jennylyn Mercado at Mark Herras.Hindi rin totoong ihihinto na ang programa. Tuluy-tuloy pa itong mapapanood kaya hindi dapat malungkot ang fans ng dalawang loveteam.Matatandaan na sa New York City pa nag-taping ang cast ng programa for three weeks. Aba, eh, first time ito sa history ng local television.

Good for them.  It’s good to know that I Love New York is still dominating the ratings on their time slot.  Though I don’t watch this drama often, I’d still prefer ILNY over My Girl.  Although the other male lead there (Lee Jun-ki, oohhh ) looks super better than the female lead, I still tune in to GMA.

But I just hope that GMA will come up with better dramas in the future.  Their orig stories are not very consistent most of the time.  They have this very promising start that would entice the public to support the program but in the middle, the story segues to unimportant matters.  The real concern is being pushed out of the limelight and the audience is left with a new story altogether. Tsk. 

Well, anyway, good luck to I Love New York.  Keep it up!

Kung si Robin ay nagpagupit, si Regine naman ay nagpa-hair extension para mas humaba ang buhok. Walang nagawa ang pagrereklamo ng actor na two years niyang pinahaba ang buhok dahil desisyon nina Regine at direk Mark Reyes na paiklian ang kanyang buhok na in fairness, bumagay sa kanya.

Four days pa lang nagsu-shooting ang dalawa pero, may playdate na ang pelikula. Sa October 11 ang playdate nito, a day before Regine’s two-night concert at the Araneta Coliseum billed Twenty at naka-schedule sa Oct. 13 & 14. Sa galing nitong mangumbinse, ‘di kami magugulat kung mapa-guest at mapakanta nito si Robin.

Five years na pala ang nakaraan nang gawin nila ang Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw at sabi ni Regine, the same old Robin ang actor na sobrang maalaga. Bawal pa rin sa kanya ang kumuha ng tubig na iinumin, ang maglakad na ‘di kasama ang actor dahil pipitikin ang kanyang mga daliri. Napansin din naming hindi na nahihiya si Robin at lumalaban na nang biruan sa leading lady. Naaliw kami sa paulit-ulit nitong tanong kung bakit ‘di siya nagustuhan ni Regine.

IBANG Regine Velasquez ang mapapanood sa Till I Met You dahil sasakay siya ng motorsiklo at mangangabayo pa.  Hindi siya marunong mag-motor at mangabayo at lakas ng loob lang daw ang motivation niya para gawin ang mga ito.  Pa-girl na pasosyal at nagkukunwaring mayaman ang role niya sa Viva at GMA Films movie.

Sabi ni Regine, last year pa nabuo ang balik-tambalan nila ni Robin nang mag-usap sila ni Wilma Galvante at itanong kung interesado ang GMA Films na igawa sila ng pelikula.

Nitong pagbalik niya from a concert abroad, ipinatawag sila ni Annette Gozon-Abrogar for a story conference at kasunod noon, nagsu-shooting na sila ni Robin sa Hacienda Isabella sa Alfonso, Cavite.

Sa Surigao naman kukunan ang kidnapping scene.  Hindi pa nakukunan ni direk Mark Reyes ang maraming kissing scenes nina Regine at Robin sa pelikula.

Nakatutuwa ang rason ni Regine kung bakit magaling siyang humalik. Sabi nito: “Kailangan kong galingan ang kissing scene dahil ayaw kong magmukhang ’di marunong humalik, eh, ang tanda-tanda ko na. Para naman akong tanga noon.”

Masaya si Regine sa October 11 playdate ng movie nila ni Robin dahil kasunod nito ang two-night concert sa Araneta Coliseum.

Sa October 13 & 14 ang Twenty, celebration ng 20th year niya sa showbiz. Siya rin ang magdidirek nito at sina Gary Valenciano at Martin Nievera ang gustong guests kung pupuwede ang dalawa.

Pakakantahin din daw niya si Robin.

Aliw si Regine dahil nahirapan kaming alamin kay Ogie Alcasid ang name ng itinayo nilang recording company, pero si Regine, agad sinabing tinawag nila itong Indie Music.

ONE of Regine Velasquez’s hit-movies was Kai-langan Ko’y Ikaw, opposite former Bad Boy of Local Movies Robin Padilla, which was produced by Viva Films in 2000 and megged by Joyce Bernal. A major attraction of the picture was the long and passionate kissing scene between Regine and Robin.

There have been attempts to bring the two top stars together again, but conflict in schedules prevented the project to push through.

It is only now, after five years, that Regine and Robin will be reunited on the big screen.

During the pictorial and contract-signing held at Hacienda Isabella in Tagaytay City, Regine told us how happy she is that, finally, GMA was able to “court” Robin to do the reunion project.

“Robin is my one and only choice, since we have worked together before at gamay na gamay na ako sa kanya. It is very important for me na ang aking katrabaho shares my passion for professionalism. When I did that film with Robin, he was already a changed person. Ayaw na ayaw niyang mauuna ako na dumarating sa set. He didn’t mind nang hili-ngin kong bawasan niya ang kanyang buhok, which I also requested na gawin niya for this new project of ours. Nagiging magaan ang shooting kapag comfortable ka sa leading man mo. Everything becomes easy, especially during a love scene. For this project, I blocked my schedules at sinabi ko sa GMA na huwag na lang gawin ang project kung sakaling hindi maging available si Robin,” Asia’s Songbird said.

The romantic movie is Till I Met You, which shares the title of a song popularized by Kuh Ledesma. The title tells it all and there is no need for us to elaborate on the story.

This much we can reveal: Robin portrays a ranch boy who will tame Regine, so expect a lot of bickerings between the two. It ends with a long and passionate kiss towards the end of the film. The longest kiss ever, we are told.

Oh yes, Eddie Garcia is in the cast — as part of a love triangle.

Till I Met You is directed by Mark Reyes, who is now identified with love dramas (like Moments Of Love and the forthcoming Eternity.

The movie You has an Oct. 11 playdate. It will coincide with the two-day concert of Regine Velasquez titled Twenty, which is the number of years she has spent in showbiz.

Inamin ni Binoe na sinuyo niya noon ang Asia’s Songbird, pero ‘di siya nakapasa rito.

Flooding?  Lolz.  Tabloids are having a fiesta these days because of the most awaited pairing (again) of Regine Velasquez and Robin Padilla.  As the above articles mentioned, the new movie’s title is “Til I Met You”.  And incidentally, they are shooting in Villa Isabella, which is owned by Kuh Ledesma and is the singer of the film’s title.  I wonder if Kuh is also a producer or something.

Robin is still wishing he’d score at Regine?  Dream on!    He mentioned before (Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw days) that Regine likes his man to be good in singing and he should be dark, and Robin is neither.  I believe that the standard mentioned by Robin which is Regines meter is true.  Just look at her past, or present.    And Robin is already married.  Oh, stop it already!!

A friend of mine (hi pearl) texted me earlier that the gist goes this way.  Regine is inlove (or pretending to be) with Eddie Garcia’s character.  Eddie takes her to his ranch and there she meets Robin who is suspicious of Regine’s real motive.  And since he loves Eddie and is so concerned with him (he treats Eddie as father), he investigated Regine but in the process, he fell in love with her.  Oh dilemma! 

They say there are alot of kissing scenes.  Hopefully not between Regine and Eddie.    Robin and Eddie is more desirable.  Joke! 

On a sad note, Regine is still sick.  She had a serious migraine attack that she was rushed to the hospital for treatment.  But she was so jolly last Sunday in SOP and S Files.  Hopefully she gets well soon.  No, soonest!  I’ve been receiving news (or rumors) that it was more critical or something.  Hope not!  Songbirdie, please get well.
