‘이영애와 김선아, 누가 여자 대통령이 될까?’

제비가 여자 대통령을 만든다는 기상천외한 내용의 만화를 원작으로 한 드라마 <대물>의 여자 주인공 후보가 압축됐다.

<대물>의 제작사 이김 프로덕션은 26일 “이영애와 김선아에게 시놉을 건넸으며, 두 스타 중 한 명으로 출연 여부를 조율 중”이라고 밝혔다.

이영애와 김선아는 각각 <대장금>과 <내 이름은 김삼순>으로 50%대가 넘는 시청률을 기록하며 국민 배우라는 타이틀을 갖고 있다.

<대물>의 제작사 측은 “<여인천하>를 집필한 유동윤 작가와 계약을 맺고 현재 집필 중으로 올해 하반기 공중파에서 방영될 예정”이라며 “이영애와 김선아가 가장 적격한 후보라 생각해 접촉 중이다. 아직 결정된 사항은 아니라 진행 중”이라고 조심스러운 모습을 보였다.

SBS <여인천하>의 유동윤 작가는 백악관에서 로비스트로 활동하며, 북한의 김정일과 남북통일을 위해 담판짓는 여자 대통령의 이야기를 섬세하고 감각적으로 표현하겠다는 계획이다.

이김 프로덕션은 “유동윤 작가가 다른 작품의 제안도 받았지만, 올해 <대물>에만 집중하겠다는 의사를 털어놨다. 유동윤 작가의 의사를 고려해 캐스팅을 진행 중이다”고 전했다.

A production company is considering either Kim Sun-ah or Lee Young-ae for the leading role in their new tv drama.

The production company mentioned on the 26th that they will make a decision between the 2 actresses. 

LYA and KSA both hold the title of The National Actress with their dramas Dae Jang Geum and My Name Is Kim Samsoon in ratings up to 50% respectively.

The parties involved already signed contracts with the writers and the PD of this drama <"Women's World">. The PD has been in close contact/talks with both actresses. No word yet on decisions that have not been made yet from the production company.

The PD has studied the white house, the president of N Korea Kim Jong-il, and also did a detailed and compassionate hypothetical look into a female president in a North-South unified Korea. It’s no secret from the past works of the writer that this will be a drama attracting lots of attention.

If I were to be asked who shall I choose, hands down it would be KSA.  LYA is a great actress and it wouldn’t be surprising to learn if she gets the role.  But of course, I’m rooting for my lovely unnie.

At least, it’s wonderful to know that KSA is considered as one of the most sought after and honored actress over there in Korea.  As a fan, I’m so proud that she is pitted against LYA who has reached a lot of audience due to her incomparable portrayal of Jang Geum.

Well, best of luck to KSA.  Sidus HQ (KSA’s managing outfit) should work hard for this, hehehe.

Kim Sun Ah’s Action thriller movie has been shelved. 

The much awaited Suna’s action thriller crime investigation movie has been shelved. 

The filming which started in September last hear suddenly came to a temporary halt.  For some unknown reason. Rumour has it that there was a change in director but some say that it was due to the internal management problem by the production company.  

Poor Suna was being placed in an embarrassing situation. She was forced to rest while eagerly waiting for the movie to be re-filmed. It seemed to be a long 4 month wait for her.

Recently, there was news that the filming was being scheduled to be re-filmed in early January . Yet there was still no news from the production company nor any press-conference being held.

On 25 January, a spokesman from Sidus Hq said that they had received numerous offer, some with urgent request, inviting her to act in either drama or motion pictures. The roles that were being offered to Suna came in many varieties. 

They said they might consider accepting one of the roles if the situation like this has not been improved.   They will let things be for the moment and take one step at a time.

Waaaah, it’s so sad that this had to happen to Sun-ah unnie’s film.  This should have been her comeback movie after 2 years.   And a lot of people have been waiting eagerly and patiently for Thursday’s Child to be shown.  I’m so sorry for unnie.  Hope she gets to work with reliable people in the future.  If Thursday’s Child won’t be revived, it would be such a huge waste. Tsk.

Sun-ah unnie, just hang in there. Fighting!!

At last!  It’s been over a month since I last posted a transcript.  Gomenasai.

Anyway, here’s the day 49 Filipino transcript of the hit Korean drama My Name is Kim Samsoon. This drama was shown Monday to Friday, 9:30pm, over GMA-7 in the Philippines.

Some episode hindsights;

In this very scene, you can see how very irritated and exhausted Samsoon is to Hanna and, well, yeah, to Henry because to her, they joined forces just to make fun of her. And it’s never a pleasant feeling to be laughed upon.

Oh, did you know that Sun-ah unnie was sick and with a high fever when she did the scenes from the name-change fiasco to the restaurant ambush of Cyrus from this episode? That time, their schedules were tight, they had to meet the deadline and the crew had to finish necessary scenes in a hurry. And due to constant filming without much rest, Sun-ah unnie’s body squeaked time out. But she couldn’t take a leave of absence, not when the whole production is running out of time. So even when she felt so weak and she was running a fever, she still made it to the shoot. It’s a good thing she is a jolly person that she just took everything in stride, even making fun of the situation most of the time.

And of course, the Behind the Scene kilig moments.
