Weeeeeeeee. It’s reported that our Kim Sun-ah unnie is going to have a new film project. The tentative title is “Girl Scout” and I believe they are still in the planning process (you know, casting, location scouting, etc).
Here’s the link of the press release–>>Kim Sun-ah’s new Film
Hopefully, you could understand the article.
And hopefully, Girl Scout is not another Thursday’s Child.
And since it’s spring over there in South Korea, Sun-ah unnie just finished the photo shoot of the Summer Collection of Voll. Pretty soon, we’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the pretty breezy pics.
It’s been a year now that unnie has been endorsing Voll. It’s great to see new pics of hers every season.
I wonder what happened to DHC? Why at the start of this year, her pics were not included in the DHC website and promos anymore.
And since we’re on the topic of unnie’s endorsements, I found cute and charming commercials of Sun-ah a few years back. And one clip when she joined a pageant.
I want you guys to see it so I’ll post the links here from YouTube. Enjoy!

Regine sought GMA permission for Star Cinema movie
By KAYE VILLAGOMEZRegine Velasquez crossing over ABS-CBN, Piolo Pascual promoting on GMA7. Impossible? Think again. How about “Paano Kita Iibigin,” the new Star Cinema and Viva-produced romantic drama that will allow both network stars to crossover the warring networks to promote the film.
“If there’s one good thing that came out of this project aside from the fact that I got to work with Piolo in a film is that it gives us a chance to appear on either networks,” Regine told the media recently at a press conference held for “Paano Kita Iibigin.”
“I asked permission from GMA and they understood naman. Pumayag naman sila and even excited that Piolo will get to guest sa Kapuso network,” she added.
She said she just needed to blurt out the truth about network wars: “There is no network war in real life. Lahat naman yan, including the stars, are friends. Sorry ha, but I hate to burst the bubble yet it’s the truth. We’re all friends here. It’s just that a little competition makes it all more exciting.”
When Regine was asked if she needed to ask permission from her “papa,” she wriggled off the hot seat and answered, “Si papa Gerry? Okay lang naman daw sa kanya na gumawa ako ng sexydrama with Piolo.”
REGINE’S BOLDEST EVER
If talks were right, Regine might have showed bits of upper body exposure for “Paano Kita Iibigin.” But she would rather keep the revelations at bay. Not until the movie premieres at the very least. “You have to watch what I was willing to give in this movie.”
Clearer confirmation came from “Paano Ka Iibigin” director Joyce Bernal. “There were times Regine refused to do the things I asked her, especially with the love scenes. But at the end of the day, she gave me much more than I needed and expected of her.”
Regine joked that she only had to look at Piolo topless for motivation. “Pinagsamantalahan ko si Piolo. Makikita n’yo naman sa movie. In case you chance upon my mother, just tell her it was all computerized and that I didn’t do most of it. Yung nanay ko kasi ‘pag matagal na sa one minute ang kissing scene, sinisita ang co-star ko at sinasabihan na, ‘Tama na ‘yan!’ As if mapapahinto niya ang movie. Kaya please lang, do me a favor ‘pag nakita ninyo ang nanay ko, paki sabi, kinomputer lang ang lahat.”
In one major love scene, Bernal instructed Piolo of the big-league passion she wanted out of him, “Piolo, sa eksena na ito, kukunin mo ang kaluluwa ni Regine. After kunan yung eksena, I had to tell Regine, ‘Regine, ibalik mo ‘yung kaluluwa ni Piolo!’ Siya ang kumuha!”
Like all the hapless lovers meeting for fiery passion, Piolo and Regine’s characters gave everything away. As mature characters that have been through a lot in their separate pasts, Piolo and Regine eventually gave in to a passion-dominated affair.
Regine confessed she was taken away. “Sino ba naman ang hindi madadala kay Piolo. Guwapo, ang ganda ng katawan, mabait, matalino. Imposibleng hindi mo siya magustuhan. It’s very easy to fall in love with Piolo. This movie really made me know Piolo better.”
At first, Piolo was too shy, Regine pointed out. “Nahihiya siya sa akin and I knew I had to make him feel comfortable because we are going to do a lot of scenes that will require us to be comfortable with each other.”
There were too many steamy scenes between Regine and Piolo that they had to wind up closer after the shoot. “Sabi ko nga kay Regine, ‘Tapos na pala ang shoot. Bitin. But we didn’t do anything that was beyond what was required by the movie’s script. Lahat naman ng ginawa namin kailangan sa movie.”
In “Paano Kita Iibigin,” Piolo plays a very depressed guy whose wife passed in an untimely demise. The tragedy made him want to do anything that would probably lead to his suicide just so he could join his wife in the afterlife. He returned to the beach resort where he met his wife and there he met Regine’s character.
Everything changed from there. Regine plays a single mom who found herself strangely drawn to Piolo’s character. After emotions were tried to control, they ended up falling madly and passionately into each other. And this is where the movie starts to heat up.
“These are really mature roles we played,” revealed Piolo. “I’m just glad I was able to share this experience with Regine.”
Piolo said the same things as far as Regine is concerned. “It has been my dream to do a movie with Regine. And do a soundtrack of a movie tapos si Regine pa yung partner ko.”
Regine added, “One of the things we wanted to achieve was bring back the good old days when movies carry original titles and original theme songs. We hope we achieved this through this film.”
But when asked whether she was (is) in love at the moment, Regine gave a breath-out-but-loud-and-clear, “Yeah” as a response.
Then she refused to elaborate.
At this juncture of the press conference, Regine kept made the media felt she would hint on something then hold back. When it finally became an obvious pattern and no straight answers will be revealed anyhow, the entertainment media decided to leave it as that.
Still, “Paano Kita Iibigin” is the story and might just be the movie worth watching this season. Confessions or no confessions, the movie sounds as promising as it is supposed to be sexy.
This article included a pretty pic of Reg and Piolo in the broadsheet. How come the website didn’t publish it? Sayang. It was a nice photo pa naman.
Anyway, the film is truly promising. I’m truly excited. I’m already contacting my Regine friends so we can have a mini “EB” before watching the movie together, hahaha. After forsaking our ‘kaadikan’ to live a normal life, here we are again. Going back to our old lifestyle. Adik as ever.
Ogie Alcasid jealous of Piolo Pascual?
Manila Bulletin 4/29/07
It’s been reported that Ogie Alcasid got jealous of Piolo Pascual for his and Regine Velasquez’s many sizzling love scenes in the Star Cinema/Viva Films’ joint venture “Paano Kita Iibigin” which opens next month.Regine herself admitted at the press conference of the movie that indeed, she and Piolo have a lot of passionate kissing scenes but she felt Piolo did not take advantage of the situation, “hindi siya adik sa halik”. Actually this is her most daring movie, Regine said. She also has wet look scenes in the movie.
As to Ogie’s jealousy, it’s not true it was said.
Namen!!! It was rumored that he got jealous of Robin Padilla when he and Regine were too close for comfort when shooting and promoting ‘Till I Met You’. And now he’s jealous of Piolo? He’s sooo insecure.
Well, why wouldn’t he? Piolo and Robin are way too gorgeous compared to him, bwahahaha.
(Eimich is a meanich)
Wet look scenes? Does this mean there will be more than silhouette baring? Regine’s nips are always visible in her gowns, and now it will be truly bared? Dream come true, hahaha. For Regine, lolz.
MANILA, Philippines — The top stories in local tabloids this week (and why we are moved, if we are moved):
Regine (Velasquez), buking na buking sa relasyon nila ni Ogie (Alcasid).
Regine still mum about love life. (Ano ba talaga?)
Regine, ayaw pangunahan si Ogie. (Oh.)
“Paano Kita Iibigin,” starring Regine and Piolo, opens May 30. (Ah, enlightenment!)
Bwahahahaha. Loved the tabloid headlines. Good thing I didn’t see them in the news stand earlier when I bought a broadsheet. Or else, I would have carried too many newspapers home, even those sleazy ones. Too embarrassing! Too adik!
Oh, the banner below is done by the most adik of all.
It’s so pretty so I asked permission from the owner to post it here. Thanks adik. ![]()

Anneong guys and girls.
A lot of things have been happening to Sun-ah world but I’ve been quite busy so I haven’t had the chance to update you guys. Chesohamnida.
Anyway, on with the updates.
Kim Sun-ah recently recorded a song titled “Sarangeul Jesuyo (Give Love)” with other Korean top celebrities and shot the Music Video too just recently. How recent? Uhmm, the song was recorded on April 12, and by the looks of the music video, I’m pretty sure it was shot the same day too. This project is for the “Heart of Generosity Foundation” which helps children and adults with handicap and sickness.
Some of the celebrities (those who are familiar to me only) are the following;
Cha Tae Hyun (My Sassy Girl, Prince’s First Love), Eugene (Loving You, Save The Last Dance), Ryu Si Won (Beautiful Days), Kim Jung Eun (Lovers In Paris, Lovers), An Jae Wook (Oh Pil Seung), Kim Jae Won (Wonderful Life, My 19-year Old Sister In Law), Jung Joon Ho (Princess Lulu) and Kim Won Hee (Marrying the Mafia).
Unnie’s visit to a girl with an eye disease (4-20-07) was also documented in the music video. But a separate report/feature was released. It also includes the other celebrities involved in the charity but the main focus was on Yu Ji Min, the 6-yr old girl who is a piano prodigy.
View it here
View the music video here
Nice unnie.
Kim Sun-ah also guested at a radio show on April 16 with Jo In-sung to promote their project for the said charity. In-sung wasn’t included in the mv or the song (maybe not a good singer, hahaha) but I guess he also holds a big part for the project.
Pics galore from the radio guesting;
Don’t they just look good together?
Actress Kim Seon-ah has published a book on her previous hit drama “My Name is Kim Sam-soon” in Japan. The Japanese media reported Saturday that the book published by the Asahi daily publishing house is gaining popularity as it introduces the Korean drama in detail. ‘Sam-soon’ was especially popular among Korean women in their 20s and 30s.
The book explains Kim’s surrounding characters in the drama and includes an interview with male lead Hyeon Bin and a message by script writer Kim Do-woo. In the book, producer Kim Hyeon-cheol also compares Kim Seon-ah with the character Sam-soon, whom she played.
Many Japanese women have said they empathize with the chapter of the book entitled “Life in Kim Seon-ah Style” addressing the identity of 30-something single women.

Omo! I want to have this book. I guess I’ll ask my lovely unnie (my real older sister) who lives over there in Japan to get me a copy. I just hope she’d really buy me the book but I’m not setting my hopes high. I’ve asked her for the One Piece manga and til now, I haven’t received any. Not even the first volume. And the manga is already on it’s 47th volume. Haaay.
Eimich, fighting!!!
Here’s the cover photo of the book.

Anyway Sun-ah unnie, Aja!!

Piolo Pascual intimidated by Regine Velasquez
“Grabe, but I really felt how bad a singer I was that time! Ganun siya [Regine] ka-intimidating. Ibang klase!” sabi pa ni Piolo sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
Kaya naman daw kakaririn niya talaga ang pag-record ng kaniyang album after maipalabas ang movie nila ni Regine, in preparation na rin for his big concert sa Araneta this November.
-snip-
“I’m kinda nervous and excited at the same time dahil bukod sa mga sarili kong compositions, tutulungan ‘ata ako nina Regine at pati na ni Ogie [Alcasid, who wrote the theme song of their movie]. I need to have a hit single para naman hindi nakakahiya pagdating ng November,” sabi pa ni Piolo.
-snip
Piolo Pascual and Regine Velasquez’s classic-oriented duet “Paano Kita Iibigin,” the theme song of the new Star Cinema and Viva films co-production of the same title, is an OPM masterpiece!…

Bwahahaha, lemme hear it, lemme hear it. -Eimich
And here’s a reaction to a recent Funfare item, from stage director Freddie Santos:
Thanks, Ricky, for featuring a sensible interview with Piolo Pascual. Maybe it’s media fatigue but between the hyper press releases from his producers and the envy-laden mudslings from his detractors, the guy has become tedium to read about. Finally, something about the human, and whaddaya know, a very amiable human at that.
Simplicity is indeed the key and I thank God that Piolo knows enough to discern which comments to respond to and which to just ignore.
Regine Velasquez, whose artistry I had the delight of guiding for the first five years of her career, has had to deal with such situations more often than there are miles between Manila and Tabang-Guiguinto. And Piolo is spot on when he spots on Regine’s discipline.
In the five years I was training and directing her, Regine, Ang Reyna ng Nlex, was never late. Janno, whom I was training at the same time and who lived in San Juan, was never early. Sigh.
From Piolo’s reaction to how Regine conducts her sense of time, I get the impression he does not work often with punctual co-stars. How I wish all artists, all people, would understand the virtue and vitality of punctuality.
Biblically, the unconditionally-loving God actually does have one condition for humans to meet before He brings about a miracle: It’s not the number of prayers, it’s not the height and depth of sacrifices, it is simply…be there on time. JUST TURN UP.
Which is why I believe the most crucial three-word phrase in the world is not I Love You but HERE I AM.
Piolo and Regine, whether for Biblical reasons or otherwise, are obviously trying to be there. And in doing so, they’re learning what baggage to unload to keep the burden light, and the journey, unstopping.
May they, and you, be blest with more milestones.
Wow, Regine was really that punctual? That’s totally admirable. I wish I could be like that too. Really!
-Eimich

My mood today is lazy so I’ll just put the updates about my two unnies in one post. Reklamo?
If you’re interested, just click the link to your heart’s content. If it’s dead, well, tough luck.
About Pacquiao’s match earlier, so it was Geneva who sang the national anthem. Fine. At least she did not screw up like the American girl, bwahahaha. But I think Geneva’s confidence dipped a little towards the end of the song. Well, I guess she did her best. And I did not catch the new station ID telecast of GMA. I hope to see it soon, though.
Ms. Maro Garcia, Regine’s manager, posted this piece of info in RVMM and I wanna share it with you guys. Hope you freakin’ like eeeeeeeeeaaattt.
1. The new movie with Mr. Piolo Pascual is entitled “Paano Kita IIbigin” and will be shown on MAY 30.
2. The theme song is composed by Ogie Alcasid and produced by Ms. Regine and Mr. Mon Faustino. Its a duet between Ms. Regine and Mr. Piolo Pascual and has the same title as the movie.
3. The music video has been shot and will be aired soon.
Waaaah, can’t hardly wait.
Now, on to my lovely unnie. Kim Sun Ah won an award, the National Tax Service Honor, for the second year in a row. And Song Il Gook (Jumong) won the award too. Last year, she was awarded that honor with Hyun Bin (separately though). At least now, she’s doing the public campaign with the other awardees, unlike last year, she did it alone. Which is kinda weird and a little embarrassing, hehe. For all it’s worth, here are articles of the said event. Hope you enjoy deciphering the hangeul.

My comments? It’s really nice. The nerve of the guy to have another relationship when he’s not that good to look at at all.
Anyway, Sun-ah unnie looked gorgeous in the video. She’s definitely sexy.

Regine will not sing Anthem in Pacquiao-Solis match
By KAYE VILLAGOMEZAsia’s Songbird and SOP host Regine Velasquez clarified she will not be performing the Lupang Hinirang in the Pacquiao–Solis boxing match this Sunday, April 15.
“It is not true. I won’t be singing in the Manny Pacquiao–Jorge Solis bout,” the Songbird told the Manila Bulletin Wednesday afternoon at the all–star shoot of GMA’s new Kapuso Station ID.
Regine said she has gotten used to “being assumed that I will be the one to sing each time Manny has a fight.” Then she joked, “But it’s better than ang maging tsismis is ako na ang kalaban ni Manny. Ang panget nun!”
Reports have it that it was Pacquiao himself who requested for Regine to sing “Lupang Hinirang” but it turned out, the singer’s schedule was against it. “I am doing ‘Pinoy Pop Superstar’ live so I really could not possibly sing there. But I don’t mind at all. It’s just the schedule.”
Regine has, in fact, performed the National Anthem in a previous Pacquiao match. “It’s not like I have not done it, kumanta na ako before sa isang laban ni Manny,” she disclosed.
She also revealed that the issue came out when an alleged GMA insider confirmed to the media that she will be the one to sing on Sunday. “Apparently, the media got the information daw from someone from GMA na ako ang kakanta. Hindi talaga ‘yun totoo kasi we declined the offer, according to my manager. I just wanted it cleared out. Baka people would expect that I’ll be there tapos baka kung ano pa yung maglabasan.”
What is true is GMA’s new, cast of hundreds Station ID, which Regine will sing along with Jaya, Janno Gibbs and Ogie Alcasid. “I am very excited to do this because it’s the first time I’ll be singing the GMA theme with my friends. It’s also a very touching theme about the struggles of Filipinos and the triumphs we all eventually achieve.”
The new GMA Station ID will premiere on national TV on Sunday prior to the Pacquiao–Solis match, which will start at 10 a.m.
Ehehehehe. Minna, gomen gomen.
I was carried away by the news earlier that I even rearranged my schedule on Sunday just so I can watch the opening of Manny Pacquiao’s match. Turns out, it was a false alarm. Miss Pearl, a contributor of this site, said that an insider has posted in RVMM that Regine will not sing in that boxing event because she will be hosting Pinoy Pop Superstar live (for the first time). I adamantly did not believe. I said that person is doubtful. Turns out, that person was right. Silly me, hahaha.
At least I am warned. LOLZ
I don’t need to stay at home on Sunday, hehehe. I’m not a boxing fan, really. It cringes me to watch men getting bloody and bruised for a title. And I won’t have to skip the Sunday service. I don’t do that for Regine (confession time, I don’t watch eshopie regularly, in fact, I usually catch only the portions when they are ready to go off the air, bwahahaha) and why the heck should I do that for Manny?
But I’m sure my dad, my brothers and nephews will be glued to the tv set on Sunday morning. I’ll ask for text updates, hehehe.
So it’s final, Regine will not sing the national anthem on Sunday (Saturday in the USA).
Headache, not heartache for Kapuso
By Bayani San Diego Jr.
Inquirer Last updated 08:26pm (Mla time) 04/12/2007The way director Louie Ignacio puts it, the new station ID of GMA 7 is a “headache.”
A logistic nightmare, he explains, especially since it gathers 206 of the network’s talents.
“We have to make sure we give equal exposure to all our big stars in a two-minute video,” he says.
One strategy is to build a circular stage, says Regie Bautista, network vice president for program support.
But if you ask the stars themselves, Ignacio need not fret.
“I don’t think there’ll be a problem—especially since the station ID’s theme song speaks of unity,” notes Jaya.
“We never care about those things,” Regine Velasquez concurs.
Jaya and Regine pre-recorded the theme song—composed by Louie Ocampo, with vocal arrangement by Mon Faustino— with the network’s other singing stars Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Jolina Magdangal, Karylle, Kyla, JayR, Jonalyn Viray, Gerald Santos, Brenan Espartinez, Aicelle Santos and Sugar Pop.
Ignacio jests that he’s “spoiled” on the set. “GMA 7 is renting three high-tech cameras: two Panasonic Varicam HD and one Panasonic P2.” He adds that the set is decorated “with almost 3,000 light bulbs.”
Bautista volunteers that the new station ID, which premieres on Sunday morning before the Pacquiao-Solis boxing match, is “a multi-million production.”
She adds, however: “It’s not as expensive as the last one (2002), when we took stars to different locations. This time, we gathered them in GMA 7’s Studio 3. But we also shot everyday scenes with ordinary people in different areas in Metro Manila and Laguna.”
Paul Ticzon, director of the everyday scenes, singles out the shots of children as favorites. “Particularly that scene of a mother and child studying in their small house. It shows how Filipinos strive to live a better life—in spite of poverty. That’s the value that we want to celebrate with our audience.”
The pics are pretty funny. Regine’s hair is being pulled by her hairstylist. Can I do that, please? Hahahaha.

Regine Velasquez to sing RP anthem in Texas
Inquirer
Last updated 06:26am (Mla time) 04/11/2007SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez will sing the national anthem when Filipino ring superstar Manny Pacquiao and Mexican Jorge Solis clash at the Alamodome here on April 14.
GMA 7 public relations head Butch Raquel, through Barbs Atienza, confirmed Velasquez’s acceptance in a text message Monday.
The multi-awarded Velasquez will do the part earlier played by Lani Misalucha, Dessa, Jennifer Bautista and Sarah Geronimo, who did the honors in the Pacquiao-Erik Morales Grand Finale clash last November in Las Vegas.
GMA Network’s Channel 7 and Solar Sports will air the Pacquiao-Solis encounter. Roy Luarca
Yay!
“Ang mamatay ng dahiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllll sa ‘yoooo!!!”
Hopefully, she could be a goodluck charm just like the way she was when she sang for Pacquiao in Taguig. Unlike Lani (he lost), the Bautista girl (she screwed big time, in front of billions of people, on international television) and Sarah (oh, nothing to b*tch about, hehe).
And why does the reporter seem to tell the readers that this is the first time Regine is going to do it. Maybe in American soil. Hmp!!!
Glamorous tandems on campaign trail

Artists who normally decline juicy offers to perform in political rallies have been taking time out to join those of Dodot, gratis et amore. During Dodot’s March 31 rally, no less than Regine Velasquez was the stellar attraction. Regine took a break from her airtight schedule and waited patiently at the Jaworskis’ home for her turn to perform. Dodot and Mikee’s children Robbie and Rafael (Regine’s godson) took turns in entertaining her.
“We really appreciated Regine’s wholehearted personal endorsement,” added Mikee.
-snip
Oooh, poor Mr. Romulo.
If you happen to be a Regine fan and know her history, you will remember immediately who Mr. Romulo is. He courted (that was his claim) Regine before (I think that was also during the election time four years ago when he vied for congress) but he was rejected. And with Regine campaigning for Dodot, it’s definitely a big NO-NO-NO in his face. And he’s running for congres in Pasig also.
Regine is such a meanie, bwahahaha.
Regine asks crew to leave during intimate scene with Piolo
INQUIRER.net
Last updated 04:57pm (Mla time) 04/09/2007SINGER-actress Regine Velasquez had to ask most of the Star Cinema crew and staff to leave the set of her movie with actor Piolo Pascual because of some intimate scenes she has never done before.
The movie, “Sana Ikaw Nga,” is Regine’s first with the ABS-CBN movie arm, which has partnered with Viva Films in the project. The renowned, multi-awarded singer is a television contract artist for the rival station, GMA-7.
“Madami akong ginawa na di ko alam kung paano ko nagawa. Nabasa ko ang script and feeling ko the scene needed to be done in a certain way. So ginawa ko. Pero pinalayas ko muna ang mga tao,” Regine tells ABS-CBN’s The Buzz on Sunday.
One steamy scene between Regine and Piolo even had the former worried.
“Daming hindi ko pa nagagawa ever na parang pag pinanood ng nanay ko (laughs). Papagalitan ako, (pero) asabihin ko kinomputer lang yan (laughs louder).”
For Piolo, working with Regine was a pleasure.
“It’s an experience. Because no one ever thought na ganito siya kasarap makatrabaho, makisama,” Piolo said.
“Mas na-admire ko pa siya lalo kasi hindi niya nililimitahan yung sarili niya for the character’s sake. So nakakataas ng respeto,” Piolo added.
The two big names in Philippine showbiz had previously worked in television projects for the Kapamilya Network. One of those projects was for ABS-CBN’s “Maala-ala Mo Kaya,” which earned Regine several acting awards.
Whaaa? I think I’ve read, heard, seen that before. In every steamy scene she does, she always want the crew out. And she always tell the press about it.
One thing I don’t like about Regine is her telling lies (even those teeny weeny white lies) so she can go about her business. What does she think her mom is? Shome kinda slow and old school to believe that her lovescenes are done with computer graphics? Hello? She’s going to be 37 on the 22nd of this month. She’s not like some innocent girl that hasn’t been deflowered. After all, she shouted to the whole world she’s not a freakin’ virgin anymore. That she’s proud to say she did it with her “secret non-showbiz boyfriend” at the age of 32 (considering her story that she’s on with the guy for 4 years now).
Anyway, can’t they find another way to sell a movie without focusing on sex? Duh!

My Take
Tsukushi is the typical girl who wants to live her life just the way she wanted it. She’s shy but outspoken, timid yet brave, aloof but loving and she doesn’t let anybody step upon her and her loved ones without getting a tongue lash from her. She first had a crush on Rui but she just can’t get Tsukasa’s strong personality out of her system.
Tsukasa is an obscenely rich brat who gets his way with just a flick of his finger. Whatever he says, everyone will bow to his wishes. He’s the heir of the Domyouji Group of Companies and he’s being groomed to lead it. But deep inside the stone hard facade, he’s a kid whose lonely and afraid. And when Tsukushi stood up on him, he reluctantly accepts the fact that she’s one tough cookie who can be the girl he approves of.
Rui is the gentlest among the group, if that could be considered gentle. He lets his friends have their fun as long as they do not interfere with his. He came to Tsukushi’s rescue which made them close as friends.
This drama does not have a single boring moment and after an episode, you find yourself craving for more. Not only the teenagers can relate to this genre, but kids and adults will also enjoy this drama. It’s comedy, romance, action, drama all in one. And the cast are all eye-candy.
In my opinion, this adaptation is better than the Taiwanese version (Meteor Garden). And of course, my estimation is due to my two new babies, Matsumoto-kun and Oguri-kun who are also in Gokusen, another teen drama with angst.
Watch this and you’ll surely enjoy!

Ima, ai ni yukimasu (Be With You)

Title : Ima, Ai Ni Yukimasu
English Title : Be With You
Direct Translation : Now, Im Going To Be with You
Genre : Romance, Drama, Fantasy
Release Date : 30 October 2004 (Japan)
Runtime : 119 minutes
Director : Nobuhiro Doi
Writers : Takuji Ichikawa (novel), Yoshikazu Okada (Screenplay)
Cast:
Yuko TAKEUCHI (Mio)
Shido NAKAMURA (Takumi)
Akashi TAKEI (Yuji)
Synopsis (by me):
“After one year, when the rainy season comes, I’ll be with you again. In six weeks, we’ll be together again”
That’s what Mio promised to her husband (Takumi) and six year old son (Yuji) before she died.
As wild as it may seem, from the bottom of their hearts, both father and son believed in her. So they waited for the rain to pour and the chance to be with the departed loved one once again.
So when the sun hid in the clouds, while walking in the woods, there they found a woman, who strongly resembled Mio, but who didn’t remember anything, even herself.
Is this a fantasy? Or is this the fulfilled oath?
My Take:
I love, luv, lurve the movie. It took me sooo long to download the whole film, (eight portions and only one part per four hours in megaupload, drat!) but it was worth it.
At first, I thought the movie is horror or something, hahahaha. Boy, I was sooo wrong.
I liked the lead actress, Takeuchi, in her drama “Lunch Queen” coz she was so quirky, so cheerful, so passionately in love with life. But in this film, she was oh soo sweet, innocent and sensitive. She really fit the role.
Nakamura’s character was a perfect gentleman. He was not dashing and gorgeous, but he could be the man of any girl’s dream.
And Takei is sooo kawaii! His older version looks cute too.
The movie was narrated in a way that would not make anyone bored or sleepy (That’s what I felt when I watch those sappy recent teen jmovies). Each chapter unfolds with a rhythm that made the viewer understand the beauty of the love of the son to his mother and the love of the husband to his wife. And of course the love of Mio to her child and husband. It may seem out of this world but while into the movie, I wished it really was true. I really fell for Takumi’s overwhelming feelings for Mio.
Haaay, love, so mystifying…
And the story left me so mushy and so in love.
Really!
I wish the kind of love that Mio and Takumi shared is rampant in this world. It would be such a great place to live in.
It’s such a bliss to wish. Am I right or am I right?
Go watch the movie, it will not disappoint. You can see it in youtube (but there’s also a drama series based on the novel/movie with the same title but critics say viewers must not expect anything as good as the movie, or in other words, don’t waste your time watching the series, hehehe). Or you can download it in idols-unlimited. Just be patient with megaupload.
Movie Trivia :
*Copies of the book that Mio creates for her son Yuji, promising to return from the Archive Star during the next rainy season, are on sale in Japan.
*Yuko Takeuchi and Shido Nakamura got married after shooting the film. (How sweet)
*A Hollywood remake is in the works with Jennifer Garner taking Mio’s character. (Is there any other? Someone much younger? Lolz)

Our unni will be the featured star in Lee Ki Chan’s (I wonder who he is, hehehe) new music video. I dunno the song yet but in a recent press release of LKC, he had only praises for Kim sun Ah. Aigoo, can’t wait for the mv to be shown.
Here are some pics of the shoot. Just to make us more excited. LOLZ.

Unnie looks so different. I can’t see any trace of Kim Samsoon in her. And her hair is soo short. Haay, can’t wait.

It’s shome kinda late, but I’ll post it anyway.
Regine at Ogie pakakasal na?
Tue March 31, 2007 By: Ogie Diaz
May non-showbiz boyfriend ako for four years now! Magkaibigan lang kami ni Ogie!”
Pero tumataginting na “Ma” at “Pa” ang tawagan, in fairness.
Kung totoo mang ‘yun nga ang ia-announce ni Ogie, next time, tantanan
na ang pagsisinungaling, ha?Kawawa naman ‘yung mga reporter na nakalutang sa hangin ang kredibilidad dahil sa kanilang pagdedenay.
LOL @ credibility.
If what they claim is true, then they don’t have to worry. If Regine and Ogie are hiding something juicy, they only have to wait. Because, truth is, everything will come out. Maybe not now, but it will still be out in the open. A secret can’t always be a secret. Arasso?
But it’s still intriguing. I wonder what Ogie will blurt out. Oh well, for the sake of “his” career and reputation, we can’t do anything, can we?

Basically, the article says that Kim Yun Jin is taking Kim Sun Ah’s role as the tough lawyer in Thursday’s Child. When I first knew of this piece of news, I was startled, then upset, and now, I’m totally angry and confused. The time, effort and talent Sun Ah exerted in this film all went to waste. It was such a disappointment.
Most of KSA fans are bewildered and angry as well. I understand because we’ve been eagerly waiting for this project to be shown in theatres even before the shooting began, which was in the middle of last year. Then all of a sudden, the director was sacked and the film production, which was nearly finished, stopped. Argh!
Kim Yun Jin is a great actress (she should be, she was chosen to be a part of “LOST”) but compared to KSA, she doesn’t have this charisma. But she’d be apt to play tough. Haaay buhaaayyy.
Unnie, fighting!
And we thought this was enough bad news, but just a week before the above article, seven actors (including Sun Ah) sued a popular magazine for publishing pictures of them without permission. Here’s the article;
KOREA: Hallyu stars sue movie magazine
Actors sue movie magazine company for using their photos without permission
Korea Times
Monday, March 19, 2007Seven top “hallyu” stars, including Jun Ji-hyun, a heroine from the mega-hit movie “My Sassy Girl” and their agency Sidus HQ are suing a movie magazine company for 350 million won for commercially using their pictures without permission.
The other six actors are Jung Woo-sung, the star of “Beat,” Kim Sun-a, a heroine in the 2005 mega-hit soap opera “My Lovely Samsoon,” Jo In-sung, Yang Jin-woo, Ji Jin-hee and Cha Tae-hyun.
Sidus HQ, the actors’ agency, announced yesterday that it had filed the lawsuit against Screen M&B, a publisher of the monthly movie magazine Screen, in the Seoul Central District Court on Sunday.
The agency said that Screen M&B last year illegally earned profits by organizing a photo exhibition featuring pictures of the stars and providing their pictures through Internet and mobile services in Japan without permission. Through a contract with a Japanese company, Screen M&B launched an Internet Web site called “Hallyu Entertainment” to sell the stars’ pictures.
“We had warned the company several times to no avail. Consequently, we have filed a lawsuit regarding publicity rights,” said the agency. “Since the pictures were taken by the magazine company for the purpose of interviews or picture reports, it should have asked for permission from the stars before using the pictures for other purposes.”
The agency also said that since the popular entertainers’ names, pictures and voices were widely used commercially and were subject to trades, their publicity rights should be protected and it was illegal to use them without agreement from the entertainers.
“If invasion of publicity rights gets accepted and becomes prevalent, people will think it natural that those who use entertainers’ pictures without permission can just pay a compensation fee, which is actually much less than official fee for an advertising model,” said the agency. “If the publicity rights of the stars do not get recognized by the court, the company must pay 50 million won in compensation to each star for invading their portrait rights.”
